At Xtend Barre, we offer a variety of workouts that go way beyond our signature Xtend Barre class. But with that being said, you may find yourself unsure as to what class is most suited to your particular needs… are you looking to improve flexibility? Strengthen your core? Enhance all around toning and conditioning? It can be hard to know where to start, but don’t worry! We’ve come up with a road map explaining each of our classes* to help you navigate your way through our studios and design a fitness plan that works for YOU!
Xtend Barre. Our signature high-intensity, low-impact, full-body workout. This 55-minute workout moves quickly as you’re taken through a range of movements that target each muscle group from head to toe! You can expect to see a variety of props including booty bands, dumbbells, ankle weights and balls, all designed to enhance each exercise and challenge muscles you didn’t even know you had. This class is a great starting point for new members as it’s our classic workout that showcases what Xtend Barre is all about!
Xtend Suspend. A full workout sculpted around TRX suspension straps and body weight. Xtend Suspend works every muscle in your body whilst building on core stability, balance, conditioning and cardio. It’s also fully adaptable to suit every fitness level and ability. Our Suspend class is totally unique and most different to our other classes allowing you to work a completely different range of muscles.
Xtend Pilates. A high energy Pilates class that is based on the foundations of Mat and Reformer Pilates and then set to music to increase the calorie burn and sweat. This class uses props such as slider discs, stretch bands, weights and the MagiX Circle. With additional resistance, your muscle endurance is challenged, and by always working with control and precision, the results will be improved strength and stability.
Circuit 7. Our Circuit 7 class is most similar to a boot-camp style class. It’s built on high intensity interval training (HIIT) and aims to get your heart rate up to improve cardio and burn fat. It’s created around 7-minute drills that include strength, resistance and fast-paced movements. Designed for a maximum caloric burn this workout will have you sweating in no time!
Xtend Stick. Perfect for the next step in your barre journey, this class is similar to Xtend Barre with a Pilates stick for added resistance. A bit more challenging, this class incorporates upper and lower body strengthening and cardio by moving through a range of sequences all based around the stick attached to the ballet barre.
Xtend Fitball. Establish deep core strength and improve balance by working through a variety of unique movements all based around our fitballs. If you want abs of steel, then this is a good addition to your weekly fitness routine. This class is super fun but also incredibly challenging!
Xtend Sweat. A 25-minute express class that lives up to the name! This workout is designed to be highly efficient by getting your heart rate up, blood pumping and body sweating. If you’re in need of a full body workout but are short for time, then this is the class for you!
Stretch. The perfect revitalisation, this class compliments our other workouts as it’s geared towards relaxing the muscles, increasing your range of movement and maintaining your body’s peak functionality. It utilises foam rollers and self-massage to help your muscles recover and recharge.
Babies on Board. A crowd favourite among mums for obvious reasons, this class takes you through a dynamic workout designed for post-natal and mums-to-be. If you’re desperate for some exercise but aren’t able to organise a sitter, your little bub is more than welcome to attend with you!
Pilates Reformer. Our Pilates class with a twist! These classes are structured around basic Pilates with added resistance on our state-of-the-art reformers. This workout is great for someone recovering from an injury as it’s extremely low-impact and allows participants to build longer, leaner muscles while building on all-around strengthening as to prevent any future injuries and keep your body functioning properly.
