Mel’s experience comes from the world of the performing arts, having completed professional training both as a contemporary dancer at NZSD in Wellington and her Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting at the prestigious Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School. Having worked in theatre locally and internationally across New Zealand, London and Asia; upon returning to Sydney and finding Xtend Barre, Mel fell head over heels and completed her instructor training. Always loving the challenge of expanding her knowledge and expertise, Mel is a certified Pilates instructor through Basi International, a certified Anti-Gravity Yoga instructor and is currently undertaking her 200hr Yoga training. Mel’s favourite thing about Xtend Barre is that it offers the ability to strengthen your body and mind safely, combining the musicality and creativity of dance with the solid foundations of Pilates in a fun and energetic setting that is open and supportive of EVERY client.
