Xtend Barre Sydney is Australia’s first free standing Xtend Barre Studio! Located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and Retail precinct, you can find us on Level 8 of the famous Dymocks building at 428 George St, Sydney. We are just a 2-minute walk from Town Hall or Martin Place stations or a 5 minute walk from Wynard and St James stations.
Here’s some handy advice for your first trip to see us at Xtend Barre:
Arrive 20 minutes early.
Grip socks are required. You can bring your own or we have some for purchase.
Bring a towel and water bottle.
We have lockers, changing rooms, and restrooms available for your use.
Entry into class is not permitted 5 minutes after the start of class.
Let your instructor know if you have any injuries or are pregnant. They are happy to help with
modifications throughout class.
If you need to change your class, be sure to do so at least within the cancellation period.

Elise’s passion for dance led her to Paris where she studied Jazz, Modern Dance and Ballet. In France, she worked for many years as a professional dancer for Le Paradis Latin, Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione, and DISNEYLAND Paris. Since moving to Australia in 2009, Elise has complimented her work as a dancer with Pilates training – a natural progression before being thrilled by the Xtend Barre workout! Elise is certified in both Pilates mat and reformer and registered in Fitness Australia (Cert.III).
The world of entertainment was in Courtney’s blood from 4 years old, when she started dancing and gymnastics. Injury rehabilitation introduced Courtney to Pilates and she found the benefits were endless. Of course the next progression was Xtend Barre! “It’s a full body work out that strengthens and tones, and it’s FUN! I have my dancing body back!”
Elaine began dancing at age 3 in her hometown of Portsmouth in the UK, appearing in numerous stage and TV productions both in the UK and Europe. In 1999, she settled in Sydney with her husband and discovered AND fell in love with the Xtend Barre Workout! In 2012 she became a certified Pilates Instructor and continued on with her Xtend Barre qualifications.
Klair comes to Xtend Barre from New Zealand and has been calling Sydney home for the last 8 years.
After moving to Australia to pursue a career in the fashion industry, she searched for a change of vocation that still incorporated her passion of movement, and wanted to expand her knowledge of the health and fitness industry. So, Klair completed her Certificate in Personal Training with special electives in Health and Weight management and Nutrition. She is also now a fully certified Xtend Barre Instructor!
Ivy has an extensive background in the performing arts. A graduate from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and Brent Street Studios, her major theatrical credits include: Disney’s The Lion King and Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon. She also starred as Danielle Clarks in the film, ‘Razzle Dazzle, A Journey Into Dance’. She thinks her epithet should read: perennial traveler, musical theatre fanatic and Xtend Barre enthusiast. Ivy can’t wait to meet you at the barre!
New Zealand born, Benny loved moving from an early age, competing in Artistic Gymnastics before finding dance and completing a Bachelor of Performing Arts majoring in Contemporary Dance. Trying Xtend Barre at a friends suggestion, Benny found it to be fabulous fit for his lifestyle, body and booty. Fun loving with a spoonful of charm, he will put you through your paces with a smile.
Ashleigh’s passion for dance and exercise led her to fall in love with Xtend Barre. After traveling the world performing for Princess and Norwegian Cruise Lines she is thrilled to say goodbye to her sea legs and teach the class she loves to take. She looks forward to bringing her technical jazz experience into the studio and can always promise a laugh or two as she works you out! Ashleigh’s dance training has led her to perform in two national tours with recording artist ‘Kanye West’ as well as a plethora of children’s shows in multiple countries including India and The Philippines. Ashleigh’s favorite part of instructing is nurturing her clients and watching their confidence and technique grow with each class. She looks forward to seeing you in the studio and promises to deliver the total body work out Xtend Barre is famous for!
Kate began dancing at the age of 2 and studied ballet (RAD), jazz (ADA) and tap (ADA). Kate competed in many national competitions and performed overseas in Hawaii and Disney World, Florida. Fitness is an important part of Kate’s life and when introduced to Xtend Barre on a friend’s recommendation was immediately hooked! There is no other workout that strengthens and sculpts the body like Xtend Barre, making it an essential part of Kate’s workout schedule. Kate can’t wait to share her love of Xtend Barre with her clients and help them achieve their fitness goals! Kate is also trained as a Mat Pilates instructor, an aerobics instructor and currently completing her PhD in Medical Research at UNSW.
Tamara has been a professional dancer for 20 years, travelling the world working on Cruise Ships, doing musicals and cabaret shows, and now owns a successful dance studio in Sydney. She has trained in all styles of dance, with a focus on Classical Ballet, and can be seen showing off her classical abilities in the movie Mao’s Last Dancer. Tamara is also Pilates trained and has a passion for all things dance, health and wellness!
Theodora is qualified in Hatha Yoga, and teaches an intuitive style that helps release tension from the body on a deep cellular level with the use of sounds and affirmations.
She is a former international athlete who discovered the powerful healing benefits of yoga whilst at a breaking point in her career and life. With the guidance and help of her teacher, yoga not only helped her get back to competing at high levels, but also helped her gain a new perspective on the interwoven relationship of health, with the mind, body and soul.
After over 10 years of being in the fitness and athletic world where pushing the body physically to it’s limits was life, Theodora now enjoys a more holistic approach to all aspects of life and aims to share that knowledge and experience with others.
When not in yoga pants, Theodora also works as an energy healer, holistic therapist, and also running her workshops. A lover of travels, sunshine, vegan desserts, and positive vibes, she looks forward to seeing you on the mat ready to Xtend and let go.
