Here’s some handy advice for your first trip to see us at Xtend Barre:
Arrive 20 minutes early.
Grip socks are required. You can bring your own or we have some for purchase.
Bring a towel and water bottle.
We have lockers, changing rooms, and restrooms available for your use.
Entry into class is not permitted 5 minutes after the start of class.
Let your instructor know if you have any injuries or are pregnant. They are happy to help with
modifications throughout class.
If you need to change your class, be sure to do so at least within the cancellation period.

Jacquie holds a Diploma in Dance, a DFTA Certification (Dance Factory Teachers Associate Certificate), Pilates Mat and Reformer certificates. She has worked professionally as a dancer for many commercial and corporate events in Melbourne and overseas. Whilst also having taught ballet, jazz and cheerleading for a variety of dance schools. Her profesional career saw her perform for 5 years as a Character Actress and Aerialist at Tokyo Disney Resort. After marrying her Prince Charming in Tokyo, Jacquie moved back to Melbourne to establish her career and start their family. After having her first child, she fell in love with Pilates all over again and became a certified instructor, spending the good part of a year working in Sydney. A fellow instructor introduced her to Xtend Barre knowing Jacquie and Xtend Barre “would be a match made in heaven!” She fell in love immediately and became a qualified instructor. She had worked at Xtend Barre Melbourne and during that year her love for Xtend exploded. She is thrilled to bring Xtend to Hawthorn and welcomes all to leap in and xtend themselves!
Carnie has been a dance enthusiast / teacher for many years, training with Melbourne’s Dance Factory and completing her Associate Teachers Certificates. With many years teaching jazz and technical jazz dance classes was eager to expand her knowledge in movement, fitness and dance and there found Xtend Barre! She thrives on the opportunity to share her passion, enthusiasm of dance, core control, endurance and movement in her classes, and with her friendly manner makes for a really fun and energetic workout.
Born and raised in North Queensland, Kiara has always had a passion for dancing, acting and singing. She relocated to Melbourne to complete her Advanced Diploma of Dance at the prestigious Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. Injury struck, preventing Kiara from realising her dream, however during her recovery she discovered Xtend Barre. She fell in love with this full body workout, as it combines her love for dance and fitness.
Kiara is also currently completing her Certificate IV in Pilates and Fitness. With over 16 years of dance experience and performing she also teaches ballet, tap, modern and contemporary dance. She is very excited to be able to share her love for Xtend Barre with her clients. There is no better feeling than passing on positive energy, and inspiring clients to reach their goals. This interaction, and being able to improve the mind and body is extremely rewarding.
Originally from country Victoria, Julia moved to Melbourne to undertake an Advanced Diploma of Dance at the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. Having now moved on to studying visual arts, she wanted to find a way to continue to incorporate her love of dance and fitness into her life, and so she discovered Xtend Barre, falling in love with it immediately. Julia is excited to be able to share her love of the workout with other Xtend devotees, and to inspire and help them to achieve their personal fitness goals.
Trained in the highest levels of Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary Dance under the guidance of acclaimed tutors (e.g. Adam Wheeler – Chunky Move), Emma is a highly sought after dance teacher and has opened her own school, Reflections School of Ballet. She has her Bachelor (Honours) in Psychology, and is fascinated in child personality and behaviour. Emma has been Xtending over the last 3 years, and absolutely loves helping individuals achieve their fitness goals through using the ballet principles of Xtend Barre.
Melbourne born Sarah has finally returned back from overseas to base herself in Australia after years of dancing and singing around the world with companies such as Norwegian Cruise Lines, Broadway Meets Vegas and most recently Crystal Cruise Lines. Sarah is a graduate of Patrick Studios Australia and is also circus arts trained in Toronto Canada. Sarah has performed around Australia on TV Shows, corporate events, fashion shows and video clips including Dancing with the Stars, The Footy Show, The Australian Production Companies ‘Boy From Oz’ in both the Melbourne and Sydney tour and cheerleading for various sporting teams around the world.
While still dancing Sarah completed her qualifications in fitness and pilates gaining her Cert III & IV in Fitness and Group training plus is a qualified reformer Pilates instructor. Looking to combine her love of dance and fitness Sarah came across Xtend Barre and instantly fell in love with the style of workout and felt at home at the barre. Sarah is so excited to be apart of the Xtend Barre family and help others to achieve their goals at the barre.
Sheridan’s love for dance and musical theatre began at age two when she started training at Isolation Performing Arts Studio. Sheridan has also studied in New York at Broadway Dance Center with some of Broadway’s finest choreographers. Some professional career highlights include West Side Story, Pippin and traveling with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a dancer and aerialist.
Sheridan immediately fell in love with this full body workout as it combines her passion for dance and fitness. With 10 years experience of teaching dance, Sheridan is now excited to be instructing Xtend Barre and helping clients to achieve their fitness goals.

Originally from Far North Queensland, Marina has spent the past eight years living and working as a professional dancer overseas. Marina trained in the RAD syllabus for classical ballet and is a BDA qualified tap and jazz teacher. Professional experience includes performing as a showgirl in “Oui J’adore” at Royal Palace in France, a season at The Venetian Macau and contracts as dance captain and company manager with several cruise lines. Marina is excited to be home in Australia and continuing her journey as an Xtend Barre instructor!
