The Xtend Barre Bayside boutique studio is situated on the bustling Hampton Street in the heart of the village of Hampton, Melbourne, just five minutes walk from Hampton Train Station and Hampton Beach.
Here’s some handy advice for your first trip to see us at Xtend Barre:
Arrive 20 minutes early.
Grip socks are required. You can bring your own or we have some for purchase.
Bring a towel and water bottle.
We have lockers, changing rooms, and restrooms available for your use.
Entry into class is not permitted 5 minutes after the start of class.
Let your instructor know if you have any injuries or are pregnant. They are happy to help with
modifications throughout class.
If you need to change your class, be sure to do so at least within the cancellation period.
Xtend Barre Bayside offers something on the timetable for everyone and every body, you can join multi–level, safe, fun and extremely effective fitness classes under the eyes of expert trainers who work with you on your individual goals.
Programs include Xtend Barre, Xtend Stick, Xtend Sweat, Xtend Fitball, Xtend Babies on Board and Xtend Pilates.
Victoria is a professional dancer, certified Stott Pilates Instructor, Xtend Barre Instructor Trainer and owner of Xtend Barre in the Bayside Area of Hampton. After having her two boys and studying Pilates she was looking for a new challenge and found it in Xtend Barre. “I love that I can keep my passion for dance in my life—teaching others and helping clients challenge themselves to become stronger and fitter.”
Originally from England, Rebecca was a professional dancer for many years. Since graduating from London Studio Centre in the UK, her work has been extremely varied covering stage, TV, film, radio, cruise ships, corporate/fashion and events. Since taking the plunge and moving to Melbourne Rebecca has loved living and working Down Under and is excited to be teaching Xtend Barre to get her exercise and dance fix in one hit!
Sarah’s passion for classical ballet began at an early age, training through the RAD syllabus and successfully completing all her examinations. Through this, she discovered and developed a love for Pilates…. “Before Pilates I had no concept of how vital core stability was for a dancer when performing, a strong core is the foundation to your movement”. Discovering the Xtend Barre workout gave me the best of both worlds.
Carnie has been a dance enthusiast, performer and teacher for many years, training with Melbourne’s Dance Factory and completing her DFTA Associate Teachers Certificates. With over 10 years experience teaching jazz and technical dance classes with the Dance Factory was eager to expand her knowledge in movement, fitness and dance and there found Xtend Barre! She thrives on the moment to share her passion, enthusiasm for dance, core control, endurance and movement in her classes, and with her friendly manner makes for a really fun and energetic workout.

Originally from Far North Queensland, Marina has spent the past eight years living and working as a professional dancer overseas. Marina trained in the RAD syllabus for classical ballet and is a BDA qualified tap and jazz teacher. Professional experience includes performing as a showgirl in “Oui J’adore” at Royal Palace in France, a season at The Venetian Macau and contracts as dance captain and company manager with several cruise lines. Marina is excited to be home in Australia and continuing her journey as an Xtend Barre instructor!
Trained in jazz, tap, classical, contemporary and lyrical, Heidi was lucky to have been trained by some wonderful and inspiring teachers. Heidi was 11 when she had her first gig as a channel 9 dancer. She worked in pantomimes for many years as a teenager and started teaching at 16. Her classes are fun with with a firm technical element of alignment, balance and strength.
Heidi is a dedicated and passionate teacher and loves passing on the knowledge she has learnt from her many teachers and students over the years.
Originally from country Victoria, Julia moved to Melbourne to undertake an Advanced Diploma of Dance at the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. Having now moved on to studying visual arts, she wanted to find a way to continue to incorporate her love of dance and fitness into her life, and so she discovered Xtend Barre, falling in love with it immediately. Julia is excited to be able to share her love of the workout with other Xtend devotees, and to inspire and help them to achieve their personal fitness goals.
Melbourne born Sarah has finally returned back from overseas to base herself in Australia after years of dancing and singing around the world. While still dancing Sarah completed her qualifications in fitness and Pilates gaining her Cert III & IV in Fitness and Group training plus is a qualified reformer Pilates instructor. Looking to combine her love of dance and fitness Sarah came across Xtend Barre and instantly fell in love with the style of workout and felt at home at the barre. Sarah is so excited to become apart of the Xtend Barre family and help others to achieve their goals at the barre.
